The Sioux Falls School District is pleased to announce FREE weekly summer band and orchestra lessons for students currently in grades 5-12 for Summer 2022. Students are eligible to receive weekly lessons May 31 through June 27 taught by Sioux Falls School District instrumental music educators. Instructors will establish schedules by school in neighborhoods throughout the city depending upon the numbers of registrations in each area. This opportunity is being provided by funding through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER).

Mark your calendars! The last day of school will be Wednesday, May 25th, 2022. The Sioux Falls School Board approved a recommendation at their meeting tonight to move the last day of school from Tuesday, May 24, 2022 to Wednesday, May 25, 2022 due to the one day of school missed for inclement weather in December.

Final Reading Tree picture is below. LBA documented reading 4,254 books. In the month of March there were 4,297 books checked out from our library. Plus, our kids read curriculum texts, have books read aloud by teachers and utilize electronic books. The city-wide number was 382,755 books.
