The LBA Chess Club will begin on Tuesday, October 24. We will meet for 45 minutes immediately after school (2:45 pm to 3:30 pm) and we plan to meet every Tuesday through April.
The Chess Club will be open to all LBA students, K-5. Parents/guardians will be responsible for picking up their children promptly at 3:30 pm.
The Chess Club this year will be more about introducing kids to the basics of the game than simply playing chess. In other words, this will be more educational than recreational. This year will also be special because we will have the support and periodic visits from an actual Chess Master - Elliott Neff - who lives in town and is the President and Founder an international Chess program called Chess4Life.
If your child is interested in joining the Chess Club, please return the sign up form to your child's teacher or the school office.
