The Whittier Road Show visited us yesterday. The Jazz Band, Select Strings and Show Choir played for us. It was great to see some former LBA students and enjoy some great music.

SFSD would like to give a huge shout-out to our partners at Delta Dental who visit schools to complete much-needed dental work for eligible students! Cleanings, cavities, and root canals are all done in the mobile bus, so students don’t have to miss school for an appointment! You put a smile on our faces, Delta Dental! Thank you!
Our 3rd grade had a front row seat for the Young People's Concert at the Washington Pavilion on Monday, March 20. Awesome music!

The 4th grade went to the Water Festival on the USF campus today and learned about the water cycle.
Kindergarten Registration is on March 2nd, 4-6 pm. If you have a student that will be entering Kindergarten in the 23-24 school year, this is your opportunity to meet our Kindergarten teachers, see a classroom and start the registration process. We will have staff members who can assist you with the online registration if you have not done that already. We look forward to meeting all of our future bees!
If you have a child who will be turning 5 on or before Sept. 1, 2023, it’s time to start thinking about Kindergarten Registration! Registration opened on February 1st, and this is an opportunity to come check out your child’s new school!
To celebrate Read Across America Week students were challenged to build a cup tower that could balance a dictionary. They were given only 20 cups and a few notecards. It’s amazing how creative they can be!!
